When the Interstate Highway system finally reached Wheeling it 19xx , as it did in every town in America, it ripped through neighborhoods and even graveyards. It also isolated some clusters of houses. The skinny area south of the freeway (from the Wheeling Hospital up Mt de Chantal Road) is a prime example.
