98 Edgewood - Etz Mansion

Elmer Murphy writes: The house was built in 1897 by Henry W Etz and was the second home built in the true Woodsdale area. The Etz family bought the 2nd lot for sale from the Woods family when the farm was subdivided; the 1st home is next door at Lorraine Terrace. The Friends of Wheeling web site has a nice history of the house on it. Currently the house sits on 4 terraced acres going all the way to the top of the mountain which looks down onto the current Robinson Ford/Toyota. The house is a restoration in process which should take sometime. Harry Sprowls and I both live here and are working very hard on it. One of the stainglass windows was just restored by Michelle Morrison from the Belmont Tech Preservation classes, the glass was broken in a few places and she painstakingly matched it correctly.
Now divided into rental units. For sale in 2012 for $163,000.
