3700 Chapline Block
3724 Chapline Street - Jenkins/Wheat House
"This landmark South Wheeling house was probably built before the Civil War [/1830s 1830s] by William Jenkins and may have been the third house in South Wheeling. The next owner was Jesse Wheat, who served as the Sergeant at Arms for the Senate of the Reorganized Government of Virginia. His brother, George K. Wheat, founded Wheeling Pottery."
