Smithsonian Art Inventory

Jacob Clark Thomas was co-founder of Stone & Thomas department store with his brother-in-law, Elijah James Stone. His will stipulated that at least $15,000 be paid from his estate to erect a granite memorial to him in Greenwood Cemetery.
